By creating an account or using TrailScribe (the “app”) you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

Independent, not affiliated with onX

TrailScribe is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to onX or onX Offroad. “onX” and related marks belong to their respective owner. TrailScribe helps you prepare a submission you enter into onX's own Contributor Portal; it does not submit to onX on your behalf and cannot access onX data.

Your account

You're responsible for your login credentials and for the activity on your account. Provide accurate information and keep your password secure.

Your content

You retain ownership of the trail notes, photos, and other content you create. You grant us the limited rights needed to store and process that content to operate the app (for example, generating a draft write-up). You're responsible for ensuring your content is accurate, lawful, and yours to share, and for following onX's own contributor rules when you submit.

AI-generated drafts

The app can generate suggested text from your voice notes. These drafts are aids, not guarantees — review and edit everything before submitting anywhere. We're not responsible for the accuracy of AI-generated content.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the app: no unlawful content, no attempts to breach security or access others' data, and no use that infringes third-party rights.

Disclaimer & liability

The app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Always use sound judgment and follow local laws and land-use rules when off-road.

Changes & termination

We may update these terms or discontinue the app. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
